I used to rollerblade as a kid and always had scratched up knees and elbows. The only protection I wore back then was wrist guards. I decided recently to give it another try after 20 years and decided my 30 year old self is probably way more breakable now! I researched and Triple8 kept coming up for great safety gear. I got this safety rated helmet and safety pad kit which includes knee, elbow, and wrist guards. The first time I went out I skipped the elbow guards for about 10 minutes before I decided that was a mistake! I have now gone out a few times fully geared up and have “practiced” falling gracefully without scratching up myself up. I’m absolutely thrilled with my purchase and it makes me feel much more confident getting out there and relearning how to skate!!

This is my second helmet from Triple Eight (I've sadly misplaced my first one) and the quality is still top notch! Thankfully since investing into having a helmet while skateboarding I haven't fallen so I can't speak for that but I can speak for the obvious quality of these helmets, the comfort is great, they're certified and THAT gives me so much comfort!
Most of all I just honestly have way more confidence to get better at skateboarding with these helmets, I smacked my head on pavement one time and that was enough for me to decide I needed a helmet, and a GOOD one. I feel safe to try learning tricks, getting more aggressive with gaining the proper technique and power behind pushing the board.
Their customer service is amazing. I just had a couple questions and needed to exchange the last helmet I bought for a size smaller and they respond right away, are so helpful and truly just want their customers to have exactly what they need and want. You also get to talk to a REAL person who was so friendly and clearly is in the skateboarding/sports scene, they get it.
I'll always stick to this company for my helmets, knee pads, etc.!
