Great

Excellent customer service, haven’t wiped out hard in the pads yet, they are well made and designed.

Exactly as advertised!

The bumsaver is true to its name. My skatepark has metal ramps and the falls can be pretty gnarly. The bumsaver has protected me through multiple wipe outs - I don't even get a bruise. Instead of getting injured, I am able to keep skating with confidence. They fit underneath pants with minimal visibility and are very comfortable - they breath. I forget that I am wearing them. You can remove the pads individually to wash them or need to adjust them to your particular riding needs. These are highly functional pads that did not disappoint!

Great pads

The Bumsavers were my first experience with any sort of hip protection, and they served me really well for the last several months. I used them for protection while trying to learn some aggressive freestyle ice skating moves, and they worked *great* for that. I started park skating on roller skates in the last few months, and found that the increased falling force there overcame some of the pad effectiveness. They're still super nice to have, but I found some of the hip coverage to be lacking - unfortunately, in a couple of spots that I habitually impacted. I also found the waistband to be a bit uncomfortable; I was a little heavier when I first got them and the waistband just seemed to sit in a weird spot with where my stomach skin would flex and fold. Not significantly uncomfortable on its own, but still a minor gripe. I started doing roller derby and because of some of the lacking hip protection, waist fit, and the longer length of these (these were a lot longer than most of the shorts I wear at derby), I tried the RD Bumsavers and absolutely love them. These fit me in a medium and I had to size up to a large for the RD Bumsavers, but the RD model is MUCH better for a more typically-female wasit/hip shape.
I still plan on keeping my regular Bumsavers around for loaning to friends, using during any activities with lower-thigh impact risk, and general backups for my RD pads as these are still quality pads.

This thing saved my ass

I’d love to be one of those idiots who gives a one star review for a dumb reason. Because…when I had a full body impact today, while wearing these, it saved my hip but did nothing for protecting my shoulder.
Seriously, my hip feels like nothing happened.
Also, they don’t restrict your movement at all. You won’t even notice you have them on.

Perfect Multi-Sport Protection

My boyfriend uses these padded shorts for freestyle and cowboy protection bullfighting. Great full coverage protection and way more durable than similar products made for other sports. A must buy for contact sports!
